Social Media Compagin

I think the social media is a very convenient and easy-to-use learning aid for 39c. On social media, we can quickly find out the professionals, institutions, and experiments of each student's chosen research direction. Twitter is a particularly broad social software, it can not only enrich the entertainment of personal life, it can also be a learning tool.

Here are two of my favorite tweets I've ever tweeted. One is about a social issue: the stray dogs problem. The other is a portrait of my dog Jinbao.

Organization

This interesting organization - "Dogster", is where dog lovers get insight on dog behavior, health, and news. It is important for dog owners to understand the behavior of their dogs.

I found this article from the official website of the Dogster which gives specific instructions on how to train dogs respectfully. For example, let dogs go the way they want when a stranger or unfamiliar dog approaches on walks. This article gives much specific advice which could be very helpful for dog owners in order to enhance their dogs’ behaviors.

In my opinion, pets’ health is the most important thing for pet owners. This article from Whole Dog Journal writes about the most common types of cancer in dogs and the signs which could early detection of cancer in dogs make all the difference in its prognosis. This is crucial for dogs’ lives.

Separation anxiety is a common emotional issue for dogs. Some dogs will be anxious when their owner leaves them alone at home. This is a terrifying mental illness that could lead dogs to depression or even death. Therefore, this article from the Whole Dog Journal helps many dog owners to understand the importance of altering the behaviors of their dogs in order to give their dogs a bright life.

Problems

Aggression is a common behavior issue for dogs. Many dogs show their teeth to whatever (human, other animals, items) approaching their things (bowl, owners, toys). Some people might think it is a cute behavior, however, if dog owners do not adjust their dogs’ behavior on time, dogs might bite and cause injury to whoever approaches them. Therefore, it is a dangerous problem.

It is important to know why dogs display aggression. In general, canine aggression is much more serious than dog bites or snaps, for the same reasons. It may be a health issue that is causing your dog to behave aggressively. Consult your veterinarian first. In order to prevent aggressive dogs from harming others, serious measures must be taken.

Stray dogs also present safety issues when they roam in packs, causing traffic accidents, attacking residents, and spreading disease. WHO estimates nearly 55,000 people die from rabies every year. Therefore, it is a serious issue for dogs.

It is important to know why there are so many homeless dogs. There are a lot of reasons, such as people abandon them because of illness, people could not afford to take care of pets, and so on. Then, most of homeless dogs without ligation and they continue to reproduce which causes more and more homeless dogs. Homeless dogs not only have a negative affect to dog themselves and they also have a negative affect to the environment.

Solutions

Puppy training is a great solution for aggressive behaviors in dogs. Because it is an excellent time for learning and altering bad behaviors when the dogs are puppies. Therefore, dogs attending puppy classes could enhance their listening to commands.

One of the best solutions to stary dogs' problem is to adopt pets instead of buying them. This could give more empty places in the shelters for more homeless dogs and pets.

There are so many ways to reduce the numbers of the stray dogs. Many homeless dogs are save by the dog shelters and they are all waiting for adopting. Think before you breed or purchase from a breeder, it is good chance to do something to save the stray dogs.

There are four experimental groups in Ai Kutsumi’s research: the puppy class (puppies receive solo training and vaccines during age 10 and 18 weeks), the puppy party(puppy parties offer vaccines and group training during age 10 and 18 weeks), the adult class(offers training class for dogs that age between 5 months to 2 years), and no class. As a result, puppy class enhances puppy personalities which will create a “positive response of the dog to strangers”. Puppy class and adult class both “improve the response to commands.” Therefore, it is important to train dogs properly no matter what age they are at and training could be an effective way of preventing the aggressive behavior of dogs.

My solution to the stray dogs' problem is to adopt instead of buy. There are 7.5 million animals that end up in the animal shelter and waiting to adopt. If people adopt a pet from the shelter, they are not only adopting a pet but also saving a life.
